Life in Marin doesn't run on a class schedule. Early mornings, late nights, those weird middle-of-the-day windows when you suddenly have 45 minutes free - 24 hour access means you never miss a session.

This is for the members who want to put in extra work. The ones who come to class and then want to spend another 20 minutes on their snatch. The ones who travel for work and need to make up a WOD on a Sunday morning before anyone else is awake.

HOW IT WORKS

Getting 24 hour access is straightforward. There are two things you need to do - neither takes long.

Step 01
15-Minute Orientation with the Owner
Schedule a quick 15-minute session with Meshelle or Michael. You'll review the access rules together, initial the guidelines, and get your personal door code on the spot. One time only - then you're set.

Step 02
Train on Your Schedule
Your personal door code grants access to both spaces - Tamalpais CrossFit for WODs and San Rafael Barbell for strength and accessory work - any time during non-class hours. Come in before the city wakes up or after it goes to sleep.

24 HOUR GUIDELINES

These rules exist to protect the equipment, the space, and your safety while no staff is present. They're not complex - just common sense for training solo in a shared space.

Rule 01
Personal Door Code Only
You receive a personal door code for entry. One code per member - no tailgating. Your code is yours alone and cannot be shared.
Rule 02
Door Stays Closed
Do not prop the door open. It must remain closed and secure at all times. This protects the space and every member who trains here.
Rule 03
No Letting Anyone In
Do not let anyone into the gym - period. Restrooms are for members only. If they have access, they have a code. No exceptions.
Rule 04
Lift Responsibly
1-rep maxes only when you have proper spotting or are using the safety equipment. Lift smart when no coach is present.
Rule 05
Clear Out Before Class
All CrossFit workouts must be completed and fully cleaned up at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start of the next CrossFit class.
Rule 06
Use the Right Space
CrossFitting happens on the Tamalpais CrossFit side. San Rafael Barbell is for accessory work, strength training, and weightlifting only - not WODs.
Rule 07
Check Holiday Schedule
Be aware of our Holiday Schedule, which is posted throughout the gym. Access may be modified during holidays - check before you plan your session.
Rule 08
Be Kind. Be Courteous.
We are all sharing this space and sharing is caring. Treat every surface, every piece of equipment, and every person with respect.
Rule 09
Leave It Better
Clean up after yourself and leave the space better than you found it. Rack weights, wipe equipment, pick up any chalk or gear. The next member will thank you.
Rule 10
Keep Your Phone on You
Have your cell phone on you at all times during after-hours training. In case of an emergency - dial 911. You're responsible for your own safety.
Rule 11
Lock Up When You Leave
When you leave, turn off the lights, stereo, and clock. Double-check that the door is locked once you are outside the building. Every single time.
